About Us! East Texas Turbines was founded at Tyler Pounds Airport in 1993. Since that time we have performed hundreds of scheduled inspections on various aircraft. Rusty Bauman is a second generation aircraft mechanic with 28 years experience, holding an A&P, an I.A. and a private pilot certificate. Having grown up at the airport, aviation is his passion.
